This page is a work in progress. Technically, I'm supposed to be grading papers. Undoubtedly, I should be at the grocery story. The laundry needs tending, as does the mopping and dusting. There are cookbooks in the kitchen to peruse, classics in my briefcase to prepare for school, contemporary tomes on my nightstand, and a stray mystery in my purse. All these things have been shunted aside in recent days, as books and writing are put aside for more important work: girl scout cookie and vacation bible school committees, bible study, my daughter's school's spring performance. I will have to be introspective, or probably just pithy, in later days. In the meantime, know that of my various roles--mother, daughter, girlfriend, teacher--I also hold the one of "reader" close to my heart. I love books and I want to share what I read with you. I hope you will share your reading with me, too.
